From Fresh Breath to Soft Hands: On-the-Go Prep for Fall

And if you didn’t know how true that quote actually was, 2020 happened. Can you even imagine if yourself from exactly one year ago today could kind of hover above and get a glimpse of life for us in this moment in time? No fans in sporting arenas, walking around with masks and social distancing (although the 2019 version of ourselves wouldn’t really even know what those two little words meant, would we have?).
And yet, here we are - a new kind of normal, at least for the foreseeable future, and guess what??? We’re actually doing it. Yay us!
All that said, I’m feeling the need to be ultra-prepared for ANY fun that I’m able to partake in, because now I know, at a moment’s notice, even the fun can be cancelled. Remember March? And April? And most of May? The boy-scouts may have said, “always be prepared,” first, but this year, I’ve totally adopted that motto.
What’s in My Bag, 2020 Style
My bag and all the spaces in my car are currently filled. Why? Always be prepared, duh! Here’s how I’m ready to go at a moment’s notice and the products you’ll never catch me without.

Making sure one is with you at all times saves you from having to forgo any last minute plans.
3) You know who my favorite people are right now? Anyone who gave me a mini hand sanitizer in press or ad bags. So many times I thought I didn’t need anymore but now, hand sanitizer feels a lot like eggs or toilet paper: necessary and impossible to find. I love the mini bottles for my purse, especially if I’m grabbing a bite or coffee.
4) All the sunglasses….welllll, at least some of them. I used to only carry one pair of sunglasses with me. But I’ve learned the casual pair doesn’t always work. Now, in my car, I have the casual aviators, the big Hollywood style, and the cheap-but-on-trend pair that I don’t really need, but, well, you know. I need them:)
5) I’m so waiting for lipstick to be a necessity again but for now, no one can really see my lips anymore. Know what they can see? My hands. And all that hand-washing can dry and age them. These days, I go nowhere without hand cream.
Attitude is Everything
One last little thing you need every single day - and this is something we can’t keep in our bags, or cars or anywhere else. Have that, it-is-what-it-is attitude. We’re all going through “it,” although “it” might be something different to all of us. Say yes to exploring! I’ve opened my eyes the past few months. I’ve seen things literally just around the corner from me (like the coolest house ever built in the 1800’s), that I had no idea existed and for that, I’m thankful.
