Dreaming of a Pink Christmas

**Thank you to Linen Barn for sending the linens seen in this post. Opinions my own.

Linen Tablecloth and Napkins

The older I get the more obsessed with pink I become. I’m always looking for subtle ways to incorporate it in to just about everything - clothing, accessories and pink decor, but in a more adult-chic way. And finally, at 45, I feel like the world is catching up with me!

If you couldn’t already tell, my pink Christmas inspo is this gorgeous linen tablecloth, Blooming Peony, from Linen Barn (starting at $99.95). I have to admit, I’ve never really been a tablecloth person, but couldn’t turn this beauty down. And making it functional from season to season? Not a problem. While we typically see pink in the more obvious “pink seasons,” i.e. spring and summer, it’s just as easy to style in the fall and winter months.

With vintage vibes, and great for everyday use, this Linen Barn tablecloth comes in two options (fringed or with mitered corners, like mine). 100% linen and made in Lithuania with European flax, it’s also pre-washed for a soft hand and more flexibility. You’ll also be relieved to know gross chemicals don’t go into the making of Linen Barn pieces. It’s OEKO-TEX® certified.

Linen Barn also sent along a set of four Natural Flax Rustic Linen Napkins ($29.95 for 2). Once again made of 100% durable linen and European made, I LOVE the fringed hem and how pretty they look against the pink.

Pink Decor and Accents

When I was considering my Christmas table-scape, I loved the vintage inspiration from my new linens and wanted to keep that vibe. Also, I knew I wanted gold, because, a gold and pink combo is one of my favorite things in life:)

And where else would I go when shopping for Christmas decor? Hobby Lobby, of course!

I sensed trouble when I walked in and all of their Christmas was 50% off. My wooden small dining table, which is actually a desk my great-great grandfather made, is helpful when trying to stick to a budget however (there’s only so much space for things afterall), and I kept it well under $50 for the following items:

Linen flax napkin with inexpensive faux napkin ring.
Joy dinner plate and sparkly gold Christmas tree for centerpiece

Hobby Lobby had a variety of gold and pink Christmas trees last week when I went, but already online I had trouble finding the gold tree I purchased for my table, and the pink one I couldn’t resist which I’ll set on my mantle.

Truth be told, I’ve never owned a tablecloth or linen napkins. I always thought they felt too fancy for me and my style. But now that these linens have been gracing my table, I don’t see myself ever not using them. The Linen Barn pieces, while chic, have a more laid back vibe - they just feel very, me. while adding a small pop color to the area.

The only bad thing about the above? My cat literally can’t keep his paws off! Between the newness of it all and the sparkle, my full-time job is now keeping him off the table and preventing him from destroying it. Which incidentally, he took no interest in prior to me setting it nice for Christmas. I’ve already used my glue gun once as he managed to unravel the sequins on one of the gold balls.

Any tips for keeping cats off tables? I think the sparkle is just a temptation he can’t quite resist.
