MEAL IDEAS: HEALTHY, QUICK AND FLAVORFUL
Do you ever feel just a little “stuck,” with some of your food selections? If so, keep reading - I’d been feeling that way too recently. Every time I unpacked groceries, I was very underwhelmed. My summer eating habits, although tasty, needed a little upgrade.
Enter the below three brands - able to still help me keep things easy in the kitchen, but with pops of flavor that compliment my eating habits, without extra time or mess. Meal ideas - quick and healthy? I am right here for all that.
Apple Cider Vinegar Drink Benefits and Recipe Ideas
I've been all about apple cider vinegar for a really long time. It's noted health benefits made for an obvious choice to begin incorporating into my life years ago.
That said, the taste has always left a little something to be desired. When I first started reading about the benefits, the only real way to consume it was to put my big-girl pants on and add a bit to some water or tea.
But this is 2021, and Apple Cider Vinegar Blends from BRAGG Live Food Products has me leveling up my ACV game.
Their apple cider vinegar blends have allowed a whole new tasty way to consume ACV, including the sought after health benefits the prebiotic offers.
The blends are perfect for smoothies, teas, sparkling water, and even plain old H2O.
And before you wrinkle your cute little nose at the thought of adding ACV to any of the above, I'm telling you - they're absolutely delicious!
My breakfast smoothie (frozen fruit, honey, hemp seeds, vanilla almond milk + 2 TB BRAGG Orange Tart Cherry Apple Cider Vinegar Blend) is OMG-delicious. And no, you don't taste the "vinegar," but do get notes of immunity-boosting cherry goodness.
I'm working on a matcha tea smoothie concoction that the Citrus Ginger blend will be perfect in, but as of today, I've only tried in a cup of tea. In addition to it's anti-inflammatory properties, it offers a delicous kick of flavor I didn't know I was missing.
And you get exactly what you would expect with the ACV products from Bragg, gut health, healthy blood sugar levels, and assistance in maintaining healthy cholesterol levels.
Did you know, BRAGG Live Food Products is the oldest independent natural food company in the USA? Yep, their products have been natural since 1912 and in addition to ACV, include olive oil, seasonings, salad dressings, beverages and more.

Tahini - How to Use and What It Is
Haven't gotten on the tahini bandwagon yet, or maybe you're just wondering what in the heck tahini is to begin with? It's ok, I was only just introduced to these vegan, organic tahini options myself.
Tahini is a paste made from toasted sesame seeds. Unlike most salad dressings, it's a healthy fat and a great source of protein, phosphorus and manganese all while being rich in antioxidants.
One of my favorite summer snacks are fresh vegetables. Literally, any of them. As flavorful as they can be, with very little fat and/or protein, however, I naturally get (or stay) hungry after nibbling...so I tend to keep nibbling (and sometimes my choices aren't anything to brag about).
That was until I started using Mighty Sesame Harissa Tahini. This whole seed tahini is mixed with Harissa Spice, giving my veggies the perfect kick of flavor, with protein and 260 mg of calcium per serving. That is my kind of snack!
If you're looking to jazz up a sandwich or salad but are trying to avoid nutrition-less and typically high-in-sugar condement options, girl, do yourself a favor and try Mighty Sesame Organic Tahini!
You can also use this tahini paste to replace mayo - try it in dips, spreads and SO much more.
Visit MightySesame.com to see the array of creative ways they're using tahini and totally shake up your "typical" way of eating this summer!
Easy Meals - Dinner, Lunch and More with Minute Rice
I do a pretty good job of cooking fresh meals throughout the week, but sometimes, I just don't have the time. Those are the nights I replace fresh, with fast and we all know "typically," fast isn't great for us.
Enter Minute Rice! Around since the 1940's this pre-cooked, then dried rice, means extra convenience for us. And convenience just got convenientor (is that a word??), with their Minute Ready to Serve options.
Packaged in BPA-free single-serve cups and preservative-free, these are delicious by themselves or as a base for your necessary quick lunches or other meals, also the perfect "starter" for a rice bowl.
I'm super eager to try Minute Ready to Serve Brown Rice and Quinoa, providing the crunchy texture of red quinoa with the chewiness of brown rice.
The Minute Rice website is full of quick recipes for your favorite Minute Rice options, and I can't wait to taste the Mediterranean Rice and Quinoa salad for the above cup. Because I had some leftover roast, I whipped up their idea for Teriyake Beef and Broccoli in under 5 minutes (inlcuding prep)!
Served with Minute Rice Ready to Serve Jasmine Rice, this was SO good! Hard to believe I had a semi-homemade meal in minutes, without preservatives and other icky chemicals. Yay me!
So there you go guys, easy, instantaneous ways to add some punch to your meals, without having to spend hours in the kitchen (who has time for that anyway???). I’m certain you’ll enjoy each of these just as much as I have!
